While in Bangkok, I also visited Wat Arun, or Temple of the Dawn. It was constructed between 1800 and 1850 by two different kings of Thailand.

There are many buildings in the temple complex, but the largest pagoda was huge. You can see it from many places in the city. 
It had very interesting statues, bias relieve and decorations all over the surfaces: 
Here's a bit more of a closeup of some of the surface decorations. I overheard a tour guide tell a group of people it was all from pottery pieces that were broken being shipped from europe. 
You can see the little sets of matching plates and bowls if you look closely:
The cool part about this pagoda is that you could climb up (some VERY steep) stairs....
