Last images of Bangladesh

The faculty had a fun holiday party at the end of the school year. Here's me and the host, Se-woong with my snowflakes in the background:
And me and Trinidad (from Argentina) in our matching saris....hope to see you again in California, Trini!
And a couple other good friends: Meghan, me, Julia and Cristina.
There was a white elephant gift exchange (a first for many of the participants and hilarious) and we all brought the rest of our liquor to be finished because everyone was leaving for break to replenish.

Then, on the way to the airport, the two other women in my van wanted to stop and take photos by the Karnaphuli river....a great idea so here they are.

This is a large river that empties into the Bay of Bengal (just around the corner from this photo), so it is affected by the tides and you can see it was pretty far out during these photos. The big ships come up a little bit into the river to the Port of Chittagong to unload their stuff.

And...the last picture of me in Bangladesh. I look totally ready to leave. In fact, the last week I was there I had a horrible sore throat (but not sick) and an all-over body rash due to stress and pollution, I think. 24 hours after leaving, both the sore throat and rash were gone......
